apparently, when it was kyu's turn to look at sungmin's partner, hodong asked the girl who picked kyu's picture in the earlier part of the episode if it's okay for kyuhyun to stare at the girl. she said it's okay then hodong asked "is it because you're more beautiful than the 19 year old model?" and she replied, "YES OF COURSE!". 

THE NERVE!!!

and that is how why kyuhyun wasn't able to have the chance to stare at sungmin's partner because he was shy.

like DUH!

she's 31 years old for crying out loud!
